ANNUAL DINNER 2019

Before the Dinner, the AGM for the Association was held in the library of the Athenaeum in Liverpool on Friday 25th October 2019.

At the conclusion of the AGM, dinner was served and 63 old boys attended and enjoyed the four course menu. The names of those who joined us this year are listed at the end of this report.
Our speakerhis year was John Butler. This was a very detailed and interesting address which emphasised his pride and respect for the School. Our MC, Lionel Ross, warmly thanked John, which was endorsed by us all. After John's speech, Li continued by leading us into singing the School Song. Finally all present announced their names and years at School. This year, we did not have a view of Richard Thwaite, wearing his school cap. As most members will know, Richard is deceased. His hard work, for the Association and his genial personailty will be sadly missed.

Yet another enjoyable and entertaining evening. We are grateful to our speaker, John, who expressed his honour at being invited to address us and also to Li Ross who compared the proceedings with his usual expertise and eloquence.

Our next dinner is scheduled for Friday th October 2000 so make a note in your diaries now. It is natural that our numbers decline, bearing in mind the School closed in 1985, but we are grateful to note that 63 were in attendance. We hope you will join us next year.

We do have a list of potential speakers for the future but if you would like to volunteer yourself please feel free to put your name forward.
