Hi Webmaster
I am writing to you regarding a letter on your website that one of my
sons came across whilst doing some family research.
The text of this letter is shown below.
I am the Fred Kilshaw who is in the photograph of Form 3A in 1952 (3rd
from the right on the back row).
In fact when Roy Carroll was putting together the details of this form,
I managed to provide Roy with some of the names of the students that he
was struggling with. I spent a very happy 7 years at The Collegiate from
1951 to 1958.
However, I believe that Samantha is mistaken in assuming that the young
chap in that photo is her Dad.
One of the reasons for this is that I am happy to say that I am still
very much alive, and despite my family continuing to grow annually as a
result of normal procreation, fostering and adoption, I am not aware of
anyone in the extended Kilshaw family called Samantha.
I realise that this news may come as something of a shock to Samantha,
given that her letter is over 10 years old, so I will leave it up to you
to decide if you wish to pass this news on to her. Should Samantha wish
to contact me to verify any further details, I would be more than happy
to discuss anything or everything related to this misunderstanding with
her in total confidence on (phone number supplied) or by mail to (email
address supplied) Please contact webmaster.
I look forward to hearing from you
Kind regards
Fred Kilshaw (D.O.B. 8th July 1940)

Dear webmaster,
I'm amazed at this photo that a Mr Roy Carroll put on you Website. My
Dad is on it and I cried. I lost my Dad two years ago and to see this,
was lovely. I wondered whether anyone remembered Fred Kilshaw?
Does anyone have any stories or photos - anything - about my Dad, as a
young boy?
We all miss him so much as he was a wonderful Father, Husband and
Grandad
Many thanks - I hope to hear from you soon.
